Will I have sutures placed during cataract surgery?

Because of the small incision advanced cataract surgery technique used by our surgeons, most patients do not require sutures.  However, sutures are sometimes used if the doctor feels it is beneficial for the patient.

How often will I have to have my eyes checked after surgery?

Typically your doctor will see you at the following intervals after surgery: one day, one week, three weeks, then finally six months; however, these intervals may vary somewhat between patients.  Your surgeon will discuss the best plan for your post-surgical care with you.

Do cataracts grow back?

Cataract surgery is a once-in-a-life-time procedure.
